Subscription Billing, and End of Month Update

Short version
* New Patrons will charged on the day they join, and then monthly on that same date. I.e. if someone joins on Oct 27th, they won't be charged again until Nov 27th. All Patrons who joined before this update will continue to be charged on the 1st of each month, so if you're reading this at the time of me posting it, nothing should change for you (unless you choose to cancel and then return at a later date).
* Escapades Issue 5 is completed and has been released to $10 InsidAers. I strongly recommend existing Patrons in that tier to now move to a lower tier before Nov 1st, as I don't expect to be posting any Issue 6 related content until December.
* Patrons currently in the $3 and $7 tiers should definitely also consider if they're still happy to subscribe to this page - billing is due to resume for you on Nov 1st and I've fallen short of what I had promised you.

Long Version
Hey everyone!

A quick heads up to let you know that I've updated this page to use Patreon's new "Subscription Billing" feature. This won't actually affect you if you're already pledged at the time of me posting this, but just to explain it anyway:

The previous billing method charged you on the day you joined up (i.e. Sep 27th), and then all your future charges would be on the 1st of the month (i.e. Oct 1st, Nov 1st). This unfortunately meant that anyone joining late in a month would get charged twice in quick succession before settling into the normal monthly charge cycle with everyone else. It sucked because it meant anyone who wasn't aware of this method could have felt tricked, and I felt like I couldn't really promote my Patreon during the second half of any month.

The new "Subscription Billing" mode works pretty much like how you expect any other subscription to work. So if you joined on, say, the 27th Oct, you're good all the way until Nov 27th, then Dec 27th, etc. No shenanigans inbetween!

However, this only applies to new Patrons joining from today onwards. If you're already reading this at the time of posting (on October 25th 2022), your next charge is still going to be on the 1st of November as it's always been.

So, ultimately, this probably doesn't really affect you and I'm more just posting this for transparency on how the page runs. However, if being charged on the 1st has always been a hassle for you (maybe your wages come in later in the month), I believe you could cancel your pledge and then wait until a better date in a later month to rejoin (ie cancel now and come back Nov 15th if your finances are usually more stable mid-month)? I'm not 100% on that and would need to see someone test it, but the theory makes sense. ^^;

I've also attached screenshots of Patreon's own wording, in case my rambling just complicated things. ;p The final image is what my settings page now shows me.

Also, an important message that *does* pertain to already existing Patrons: yep, the free months are over: Billing resumes Nov 1st, so as always, please consider if you're still happy to pledge to this page, or if you'd like to cancel or lower for a while!
$10 InsidAers, now that Escapades Issue 5 has been released, there probably won't be any exclusive content for you in November, so I definitely recommend you lower or cancel until work on Issue 6 starts getting posted.
$3 VoyAers and $7 InvestAers, from your perspective I just went silent for 4 months and am coming back with nothing to show for it, so I would 100% understand you deciding to head out.
