Anduo Report - January 17th, 2023
Heya all! Vils here back from the holidays with the weekly lewds for the week!
pmperfect:
"Hello everyone!"
"For this week report, want to showcase reworked slave stalls, with new drapes, I like how those turned out."
"This week we decided to focus our attention on Main Square area, it's been awhile since we change anything on it, so now its visibly slacking in comparison, so in the begging of the week a lot of research and concepts took place, some thing is still uncertain, but overall vibe is starting to emerge. The main insight is more levels - in texture and litteraly more ups and downs in height - for example area to the right of the market gonna be slightly higher, and overall ground will be changed in the near future."
"As for test piece played with our inner wall, it was bothering a lot, so we tested a couple of approach with it as example, and I'm quite happy with the way its going, still we can make it even more complex with smaller ornaments/details, but the direction feels right."
"That's all from me for this week! Wish y'all a great weekend and cya next week! :)"
bär:
"This week I spent a bunch of time on Dala."
"She has a really fancy ghosty shader that has the ability to draw her up to a certain height. That's what the effect of her fading into existence is! c:"
"On top of that, I learned how to use VFX graph to make particles WAY more advanced than the old unity system ever could."
"They're also GPU accelerated, so they're extremely performant, a million particles are no longer impossible."
"I also gave her some animations and put together a system to make her appear in certain locations."
Neko Enforcer
Here's a WIP look at a Neko enforcer (she's still missing her cat ears!). The most elite of the Church Guard in Gateston. When the enforcers come knocking, people tend to have 'unfortunate accidents'.
Vampyr Woman
Here's a concept look at a vampire race known as the Vampyr. Their ancestors were ancient Erokin cannibals that twisted their Eromagi into dark blood magic, corrupting their bodies and transforming them into horrific monsters. In order to hide their hideous appearance, they must use their blood magic to twist themselves back into something humanoid in order to blend in with their prey.
Obviously, that's just a myth, and vampires aren't real. Though some people swear they've seen one of these creatures of the night feeding on the blood of the innocent.
Vils:
"Hey all!"
"We're getting back into gear after the holidays and I've been taking the time to take care of some tech debt that's built up over the past couple of years. I've done some new year cleaning of our internal git repository and fixed things up so that we aren't getting failed builds on our cloud build solution for the steam and public branches like we were before. Those failed builds were forcing us to build locally, which was causing all kinds of weird problems. Now we shouldn't see those problems cropping up like the unfortunate one that the steam release saw on Christmas Day where saves weren't being shown properly. That was a fun one."
"Other than that it's been a bunch of bug fixes from me, the latest ones being a few spicy translation issues that made some choices have blank text and made the shop UI fail to load."
"On the more visible side, Desva's been working on some combat balancing changes, mainly focused on those pesky VR fights."
========== SPOILERS BELOW ==========
"On the much more visual side, we've also got a fun WIP pose of an upcoming CG for the main story!"
"And another WIP CG for the main story! Jenna just isn't seeing eye to eye yet."
"And here's one that's more complete!"
That's all for this week! We'll see you all next time for another Anduo Report!
