Long time no see!

Our summer went a little longer than expected. Alastair got about a month of leave, during which we celebrated my 30th birthday with a surprise visit from my family (their first time visiting us in El Paso), our 7th wedding anniversary, and we went to Mexico for Alastair’s dad’s wedding. The month went by in a snap, and it was easily one of our best summers together. I wish we could’ve had a whole ‘nother month! And we filmed every moment of it, and can’t wait to share it all with y’all. I’m so eager to speed through the rest of season 11 of the vlogs so we can get to Alastair’s return, as I’m sure all y’all are too. It’s coming haha.

We did so much reconnecting, planning for the future, and I’ve even finally started writing again. For a while, I thought I’d just lost it, or I was too scared to try again. I’ve been at it every day, and it’s brought me such a sense of peace. I spent all my 20s in a battle with my mind and body, and I promised myself some grace and patience in my 30s. Writing again has been the best step toward that.

We’re back to every day life now, and more exciting for us, we’re back to the patreon. I won’t be putting up a calendar for this month, as I want to focus on finishing up season 11 and preparing the start to season 12 without getting too in my head about it. I’d lost some of my video mojo, and I’m starting to regain the inspiration for it again. We’ve got content coming the rest of this month though, no worries.
