BMZ - Alarm (3/4) (WIP & PSD)

I couldn't let the opportunity slip by. I try not to have every minor background character that appears be someone that had a small role in a previous comic or strip because it makes the world feel small, like there's only a limited amount of people around and they keep bumping into each other (and I did that recently with the Outclassed receptionist rhino get catfished by Joe), but fuck it I like the nosy cat lady that's a little too accepting of the gays she keeps running into. She means well I guess.

Miles of course rides the subway because as previously established he doesn't own a car. Since I like to draw from my experience in these comics and put a touch of the places I live in so it's not just generic American location: the setting, I was originally going to make the train a blend of the Buenos Aires subway and the Berlin S-Bahn but fuck it, let's stick to Buenos Aires, the tunnel is easier to draw and the graffiti adds more personality.

I tend to not care much about backgrounds unless I can stick funny stuff everywhere and this is one such occasion. The clear standout is Minotaur Hotel ON ICE but there's also the Pijurro on the corner and the jab at River Plate that's probably like 10 years old; and I don't know, there's something funny about a guy in the business suit reading the Fountainhead probably thinking himself a big shot... while riding public transportation.
