2024 New Year Update

Hey all,

My break finally ends tomorrow, so I'm taking the initiative in making some plans for the rest of the month today. My break was greatly needed and has now left me well-rested. I'm now ready to tackle the new year!

I have been trying to find the successes and failures of my work over the past year. Armed with this knowledge I will be looking at the bigger picture of my artwork to ultimately work towards a larger goal in mind. One thing for sure that is clear is the success of my animation Kookies 'n' Cream, so I will be looking at starting another long-term animation soon! If you have any requests please let me know.

Last month, I also mentioned a few changes to the patreon feed I would be making in the new year:

Firstly, I will be adding a new trial tier to patreon. The tier will be called "Golden Bell" costing £85. This tier will be limited to only one slot and will offer no extra benefits over the £35 tier. The purpose of adding this tier is to offer a single patron the chance to offer a bit more per month and in return are highlighted amongst the community for their generosity. I wholly do not expect the tier to be taken, but it is left open as an option. The extra money would definitely take some stress off trying to make enough to cover monthly expenses.

Secondly & lastly, I will be revising how I offer the £8 sketch request benefits. I have noticed the whole benefit being left largely unused by many patrons, so I am looking into changing the tier's benefit into something more engaging instead. During February time, I will be changing this tier benefit into a character suggested poll instead - simply comment on a patron post about what character(/s) you'd like to see and the comments with the most likes will be included into the poll! If the benefit is a success, I will be looking at keeping the benefit changed permanently. For now, sketch requests will remain over January.
