If you are going sightseeing in Japan
If you’re visiting Japan and have an interest in shrines or temples, ?
I recommend collecting 'goshuin.' These are special stamps that you can get at shrines and temples across Japan as proof of your visit (usually for a small fee).
Each 'goshuin' has a unique design that differs from one shrine or temple to another. Some are handwritten with a brush, while others are pre-printed, but they all include the date, making them a great keepsake of your visit. At larger temples and shrines, you can also buy a 'goshuincho,' which is a special notebook for collecting these stamps.?
My personal favorite is a notebook with a tanuki (raccoon dog) design. So if you ever visit any shrines or temples in Japan, I hope you’ll give it a try and remember this suggestion?
