Little Willy | Page 154 | Sketch
Wow, we're down to the last scene: Willy speaking to dad again
One question I recently got: why's this comic set in the 60s?
The answer: because I wanted to emphasize the isolation that came in a pre-internet era and pre- cultural revolution. I think the echoes of that systemic isolation are still felt today, but it's less isolating for new generations, and I hope as time passes, fewer people can identify with Willy's brand of trauma
If I do future stories with Willy and Cody, it will be an examination of early gay culture in America, and focus less on trauma and more on community
