Playback Troubleshooting with PC

All of my VR videos are encoded in h.265/hevc format. Which is supported by pretty much everything. However some PCVR users may run into playback issues stating "codec error" or something similar. Sparing technicals it means your Windows device doesn't support the playback of the hevc codec.

Assuming you have reasonably modern hardware here are very helpful resources.

If none of these solutions help (Rare scenario). Trying alternate players or reencoding in h.264 could do the trick. Although reencoding will bring on its own set of issues.

Oculus Headset w PC

Very very straight forward to get into your player of choice with Oculus. Either Air link or Cable link to your PC. Plenty of tutorials out there that go more in depth with other methods. Steamvr, Skybox, ect.
