ブログも定期的に書きたい

皆様からいただいている支援金は、現在投稿しているイラストだけでなく、未来の作品への期待も含めていると思っています。

だからこそ私にできることは、「支援していてよかった」と感じていただけるよう活動を続けていくことです。

私自身がクリエイターを応援する時、作品だけでなく、その制作過程や背景、作者の思考なども大切にしています。

そのため私も自分のイラストだけでなく、それ以外の部分も皆さんと共有したいと思っています。

しばらくは地味なブログになるかもしれませんが、練習もかねて今後は毎週ブログ形式の記事も投稿していきたいと考えています。

画像生成AIが自分に与えた変化

私は投稿を始めてからずーっと画像生成AIをさわっています。

プレイ時間みたいなメーターがあれば恐ろしいことになっている気がします。

最近になって画像生成AIのメリットを体感することがありました。

それは興味や学習の対象が新しい領域に広がりつつあることです。

もともと私は絵を描く人間ではなく、写真を撮る人間です。

あくまでアマチュアレベルではありますが、人並み以上に写真のことは勉強してきたつもりです。

これまで、写真を通じて学んできたことを活かしてAIによる画像生成を行ってきました。

今までは写真の表現のことばかりでしたが、AIイラストを生成していく中で少しずつ写真以外の勉強を始めています。

イラストや映画などの領域に足を踏み入れ、最近はデザインの本を読んでいます。

今まで写真ばかりだったので、新しい学びも多く、伸びしろの多さを感じています。

もし画像生成AIがなければ、これらの領域について学ぶのはもっと後になっていたと思います。

写真の歴史や表現でまだまだ学びきれていない部分があり、そちらを優先していたと考えられるからです。

芸術系の学校なら一通り学ぶのでしょうが、多くの人にとってはそんな時間も熱意もないのではないでしょうか。

何かと問題も多い生成AIですが、表現のハードルが下がることで、自分含め多くの人が新しい表現に挑戦できること。

それによって新しい学びへの意欲が湧くことはすごく素敵なことではないかと思っています。

同時に、まだよく分からない分野にもかかわらず、それも表現だとしてうえで支えてくれている支援者の皆さまの理解に改めて感謝しています。

人によっては大した内容ではないかもしれませんが、新しく学んだことも今後ブログに書けたらなと思っています。

I want to write a blog regularly

I believe the support money I receive from you all includes not only the illustrations I am currently posting, but also expectations for future works. That's why the best thing I can do is to continue my activities so that you can feel "I'm glad I supported him."

When I support a creator myself, I value not only their work but also the process of creation, the background, and the thoughts of the author. So, I want to share not only my illustrations but also other parts of my life with you. It may be a modest blog for a while, but as a practice, I plan to post articles in the blog format every week from now on.

Changes that image generation AI has brought to me

I have been using image generation AI since I started posting. If there was a meter like playtime, it would be terrifying. Recently, I've been able to experience the benefits of image generation AI. That is, my interests and learning targets are expanding to new areas.

I am not a person who draws pictures, but a person who takes photographs. I am at an amateur level, but I have studied photography more than the average person. Up to now, I have been using the things I have learned through photography to generate images with AI.

Until now, I've been focusing on photographic expression, but as I generate AI illustrations, I'm gradually starting to study areas beyond photography. I've been delving into fields like illustration and film, and lately, I've been reading design books. Since I've only dealt with photography so far, I feel there is much to learn and a lot of potential for growth.

If it weren't for image generation AI, I think I would have studied these areas much later. There are still many aspects of the history and expression of photography that I haven't learned enough about, and I would have prioritized them. Perhaps one could learn all of these in art school, but for many people, there may not be such time or passion.

While image generation AI has many problems, the lowering of barriers to expression allows many people, including myself, to try new forms of expression. This spurs a desire to learn new things, which I think is a wonderful thing. At the same time, I am grateful for the understanding of my supporters who have supported me in expressing myself in fields that I still do not fully understand. The content might not seem substantial to some, but I hope to write about what I've newly learned in future blogs.
