The soft hum of machinery filled the air, pulsing in sync with the glowing blue lines that traced along the metallic walls. The room felt like the inside of a starship—sleek, polished, and buzzing with quiet intelligence. Panels flickered with data in unreadable alien script, and in the center of it all stood Alisa Southerncross.

She didn’t notice you at first, absorbed in the holographic interface before her. Her figure was silhouetted against the pale blue light of the control screen, her long hair catching the glow like strands of starlight. The skin-tight pilot suit she wore was pure sci-fi fantasy—accented with glowing seams that pulsed softly with her every move.

You cleared your throat gently.

Alisa turned, her expression flickering from focused to pleasantly surprised in an instant. “Oh. You made it in without tripping the security?” she teased, stepping toward you with a casual grace that didn’t match the rigid surroundings. “Impressive.”

You smirked, leaning against the nearest panel. “Maybe I got lucky.”

“Mmhm,” she mused, stopping just close enough that the soft hum of her suit could be heard. “Or maybe you just knew I wanted company.”

There was a pause—a stillness in the air between you as the ambient lights dimmed slightly, the room responding to her presence like it was part of her mood. Her hand reached up, fingers brushing against your collar with practiced ease, and her eyes locked onto yours, playful and unafraid.

“Wanna know a secret?” she whispered, leaning in just enough for her breath to tickle your cheek. “This room… this whole place… it’s supposed to be off-limits. Top tier clearance only.”

You raised an eyebrow. “And you brought me here why, exactly?”

Alisa grinned. “Because I thought you could handle it.”

Her hand slid down your chest now, slow and deliberate, fingertips grazing over fabric as if studying every detail. The glow from the control panel behind her painted her skin in shades of sapphire and violet. “I spend all day running systems, issuing commands, saving the galaxy one glitch at a time. But here, right now…” Her voice dropped. “I just want someone who sees me—not the tech, not the uniform. Just me.”

You stepped closer, letting your hand settle on her waist, feeling the faint thrum of energy beneath her suit. She didn’t flinch. In fact, her smile deepened.

“I see you, Alisa.”

“I know,” she said softly, before tugging you down with her onto a padded bench that curved into the wall—clearly designed for long nights of monitoring, now serving a very different purpose.

The lights dimmed further, fading into deep blues and purples, and the sound of her suit unsealing—soft and precise—was quickly lost beneath the slow, rising heat between you both. Whatever mission you were on… it could wait.
