2026: Let's Fluffing Go

As someone whose default greeting is Happy New Year until, ooh, mid-February, let me be possibly the final person to wish you an auspicious 2026 full of good vibes. YES, I'm basic. YES, it's the 6th of January. HAPPY NEW YEAR.

Today on Outside Xtra, Ellen comes roaring back with a spicy take on the horror genre in no way inspired by recent bad blood between her and Poppy Playtime.

Then on Thursday, we've got Outside Xbox's first list of the year (6 Things That Will Definitely Happen in 2026 According to Videogames).

Later this Capricorn season, our beloved Animal Crossing: New Horizons returns with a delicious new serving of stuff, like a beachfront hotel and Lego furniture. That's on 15th January. So things are looking up.

My first game of 2026 was Dispatch by the way and damn, that's a good game. I had thought I was truly done with the old what-if-superheroes-but-X schtick, but how wrong I was. I'm 100 percent here for superhero workplace simulator Twilight for boys.

Also! At the end of the month, Oxventure's first ever live tour begins with a show in London. If you've already got your tickets, I hope you're ready for a high time. The first two rows may! get! hit by stray dice!
