Welp... In game development, I have learned over the past 1.5 years that you CANNOT CONTROL THINGS OUTSIDE GAME DEVELOPMENT. If you get sick, if a car needs fixed, if you are burnt out... Fact is: People care, they will send you a message and suggest you "take care of yourself", while unsubscribing and moving on. It's a sad reality. As I grind to the end of this update cycle, I got a nasty sickness that caused me to cough up about say... a few ounces of things I should NEVER be doing. I had to see a doc, I am on meds... but this happened as a critical stretch of 3 days off of my RL job began. The second day was the worst. I slept 12 hours and was up and down violently coughing with a fever and nagging migraine from the coughing. I called off 2 days I was supposed to be at work, because I felt better and shit needed DONE.
So far... I am totally done with the writing and made some cuts to meet the deadline, including something I promised my frequent tester which makes me feel kinda horrible ngl. About 50% done with the graphics and haven't cobbled it together NOR tested it.
So that's the basics.
Fact of the matter is... I promised I would never do two backoffs. It's gonna be a brutal path to the finish line, but it must be done. I am someone who is nothing else but incredibly insistent on never breaking my word. So... I will not. I want to finish 2024 RESTING. I am still a touch burnt out, but I always carry high expectations of myself.
December will contain ZERO work on both Projekt Moon Hope Awakens Gold Edition AND In the Bag's debut. I will also be trying to limit playing catchup on the around 20-something games in my Pervert City backlog..... This will be the break I have needed for around SIX MONTHS now.
Anyway, not sure what else to say... So back to work... Head down. GSD mode.
