A surprise for you ?

Hello my lovelies, I've got a surprise for you. 

I've just sent Awakening the Wild Witch to the proof-reader, and I've also recently recorded the introduction - in case I decide to do my own audiobook. I've decided to share this introduction with my Patreon supporters to see what you think and get your feedback. You can download the introduction below!

This is my non-fiction book - an intuitive guide to magical living! It is coming out at the end of the month and I'm hoping to make it available for sale from my website as well as other retailers. I've been wondering about recording the audiobook myself because this is a book about my personal approach to magic, including my own stories, experiences and spiritual journey - along with a big focus on practical kitchen witchery, astrology, ritual, the power of magical will and deep shadow work! (Yes, it's a very big book!).

The prospect of recording such a big book is daunting. The recording studio said it would take over 60 hours! This was rather overwhelming because recording sessions are usually only up to 3 hours at a time. I decided to experiment (as I tend to do) so I went in to record the introduction.

Amazingly, it only took less than half the time they expected (they were very impressed that I managed a whole 7 minute run with no mistakes at one point. It took less than an hour to record the first 4000 words, which is great, but the book is currently 140,000 words - still a lot to record, even if my years of hypnotherapy, teaching, presenting, magic and ritual have all helped me to focus in and record to well.

The other thing is that voice is important in audiobooks. Do you like the sound of my voice or would you prefer a professional narrator?
