[!] Game Update 2024-11

Heya everyone~

I want to give you all an update to the Game project. I showed a single image from the game I'm currently developing in RPG Maker with the main mechanic "Possession".

Well, I think I can give you all an update at the end of the month about the game and how it's going.

Let's get started with the core idea:

You as a player are able to possess other characters to take control of them. With a different character in control, you can achieve different results. A knight might not let you in if you're a thief or typical adventurer, but what if you're the owner of the building or maybe someone who works there like a Maid. This is what I want to achieve with the game.

About this game specifically:

The protagonist in this game doesn't remember anything. All they can remember is their name. This will be the chance for you to enter a name. The other thing they remember is their own gender. I will add a disclaimer for this in the game as well, but this doesn't limit your ability to possess anyone. It will however change few dialogue lines. For example, if you choose male and later on possess a woman character, your character might comment about it. The character wouldn't necessarily comment about it, if you chose female.

The protagonist finds themselves in a cave/dungeon. While trying to find an exit, you encounter some adventurers that are knocked out. Keep in mind, the characters and names shown in the image are placeholders. This will be the first Possession the player can do. You can choose one of these characters to possess and start the journey.

The journey is about you, the protagonist, getting your memories back and if there is something wrong, fix it. I won't say more about it for now since it's still in planning, but you get the idea. You leave the cave as one of them and you try to get more information about yourself. You got your name and gender to go off, so maybe asking people nearby might help.

World building and other important information won't be shown for now as well. I do have some basic ideas for all of it, but I would need to check if some of these are even possible to do with RPG Maker and/or if there is a plugin to make it possible.
