Different shading method: Step by step
Hi everyone!
It turnes out I never posted this step by step of one of the portraits from the 100 Heads Challenge, so what a great way to start the month I must say!?
I really wanted to share this one with you, as I used a different method for shading this time.
S T A G E S :
1. Placing the figure dividing it in blocks
2. Finishing the sketch and getting good proportions
3. Lightly erasing the drawing so the line isn't so pronounced
4. Drawing a light tonality as a base on all the figure
5. From here, start working on darker tonalities (medium and mid-dark)
6. Erasing on the light areas
7. Final touches and details + pure blacks
I really like to work like this sometimes. Drawing with the eraser can be super fun! ✨
