New exercise✍️ Practice the division in blocks

Hi everyone!

I know most of you are here to learn and that's why instructive content is my favorite one✨ Today I want to encourage you to try this new exercise, which is one I use on my students so they get used to block division and undertanding it better!

The division in blocks can be super helpful for the previous sketch stage, to reduce your reference to simple shapes and get the right proportions better and easier. This can be a bit difficult the first time, as we're starting to see and think differently as we used to, but that is so important! Challenges make us learn so much?

This exercise consists in selecting 2 different lightings, one from the top ones and another from the bottom ones (although you can do all of them). This is because the contrast on the bottom ones is more harsh, and it's important to practice both types.

As you can see, thanks to this heavy contrast, we can stop seeing a portrait as we usually do, with its features. Now we start seeing it in sections, which makes us work in general without having to focus on details. That makes us work a lot faster and helps us trains our vision to become a better artist.
