Studying from the masters✨ Emily Sargent

Hi guys!

I wanted to share with you this practice I did today? John Singer Sargent is one of my favorite artists, his work is absolutely brilliant. I specially love his quick portrait drawings, but the paintings are also wonderful!

This one is made from the painting titled Emily Sagent, a portrait of the painter’s sister. I had no idea about this but she was also a painter, I just saw it while searching for infomation about this artwork!

I abaolutely recommend you to take a look at John’s work, in case you didn’t know him. I’m about to search for Emily’s art inmediatly, I’m so curious to see how she worked✨

I think I just changed the hairstyle on my drawing, but since I was specially focusing on the face it doesn’t really matter? I love to study artworks from the masters of drawing and painting, you can learn so much by just trying to replicate. I really recommend to try it!
