The process of making my first Zine? (Call Me By Your Name edition)

Hi guys!! How are you doing? I’m very excited to finally be sharing this with all of you?

This one’s a project I’ve been working on for about two years, since I started the scene drawings! Those were made with the purpose of creating a Fanzine one day of my very favorite film in the world, which is Call me By Your Name?

In this post you’re gonna be able to see how messy sometimes is my way of organizing? I found (and still find it) difficult to put all my ideas together so I use my iPad to create collages and brainstorming so much easier and quickly!

This is how the project is going at the moment:

• (Pic 1) The artworks are pieces I’ve been doing for the last 4 years, since I discovered the film and fell in love with it. Some of them are scenes and some others are just drawings of the characters/distinctive objects. I started building a structure with that, also having the chronology of the original story right so I had to have it as a guide (Pic 3)
• (Pic 2)This is the first try of the messy “script” I built, but I think I’m missing some important points of the story! I also noted those on the corner to make sure I don’t forget about them✨

I’m still not sure if I want this to be a revisioning of the story or a recap of Elio & Oliver’s love story, but I’m happy to finally have taken the step to start the Zine! It’s going to be a an interesting journey but a very exciting and beautiful project that means so much to me? I would love to know your opinion/suggestions on it!
