Heres the process behind my “Meliths Heart” piece!

I was listening to Billie Eilish’s new album and when I heard the song BLUE I instantly thought about how it matched Wren’s story and aesthetic so well. I really thought “Damn. If only I was an editor and these books were movies because I would so kill an edit of her to this song.” But I suppose a drawing of her is the next best thing. :’)

I wanted this piece to focus on her discovery that she was crafted from someone else’s heart, and that hollow feeling that she’s not really her own person. Hope you enjoy!
