The Future Of PocketSweeties 2 (New girls, Q&A, Roadmap)

Hey Gamers,

Discord invite

Welcome to our first devlog of 2026! We hope everyone is doing well. At the start of the year, me and AP really started thinking about what we want to do next for the game, what we want to achieve, and how the game should look in the future.

We’re still early in the development of PocketSweeties 2, and with everything we’ve learned so far, from moving from 2D to 3D, to adding new content and releasing updates. It felt like the perfect moment to take the next step.

We decided it’s time to fully focus on original characters and worlds we can freely shape. This gives us more creative freedom, allows for long-term planning, and helps make the game more sustainable. For an adult game like this, having full ownership over our characters and worlds are crucial for the project’s health and future growth. This change also lets us eventually release the game on Steam once it’s finished.

We’re evolving PocketSweeties 2 in a big way, and the first step is introducing our new original character: Angel Nya.

Who is Angel Nya?

Angel is Lily’s childhood friend and a longtime adventuring buddy of Teevee. Playful, mischievous, and very interested in... becoming your breeding partner!

As part of this evolution, one of the characters you know is getting a fresh new look: Thicc The Bat’s appearance is being updated to become Angel Nya. Her personality and voice lines stay the same, but she now has a new design.

This change also opens up new possibilities in the hubworld. We’ve added new dialogue options, and extra lore to Angel, Teevee and Pokokun. We've also added a couple more dialogue options to Lily as well. This will give you a deeper and more immersive experience as you explore the game.

With Angel, we can do a lot more as developers. We are planning to add new blowjob animations, more fur colors, sexy original outfits, new original puzzles, items, achievements and upgrade the current 3D environments with new locations (including a beach area!). We have also added a save outfit feature in the game to make it more convenient for players to switch to custom outfits. All this will be part of the next update.

Another big reason for this shift is flexibility. We get a lot of requests for all kinds of characters, and while we love seeing your ideas, it’s not realistic for a small team to build every single one individually. By focusing on original characters with strong customization, we can support far more variety, letting you create characters that fit your tastes instead of locking everything into a single design.

The gameplay you know and love isn’t changing, but using OC’s we can expand the customization, environments, dialogue, and lore in ways that weren’t possible before.
Angel Nya is just the start!

Some of you might be curious about the process behind Angel’s design. Like every 3D model, it all begins with a 2D sketch.

Once her design was finalized, we moved on to developing her color palette. One of our main goals with this new character was to add more customization. Players can now choose from 10 different fur colors and 10 different hair colors, mixing and matching them however they like. After selecting her default fur color, we began sketching outfit concepts for her.

With the 2D phase complete, we transitioned into the 3D stage. Turning a concept into a fully realized 3D model involves many steps, and importing everything into the game engine is often one of the most time-consuming parts of the process.

We know this is a big change, and we hope you can see the love and care we are putting behind this decision. We know some of you might have questions, so there will be a Q&A section at the bottom of this post.

As always, we can’t thank you enough for the amazing support you’ve given us. This game is only possible because of you, and we’ll keep doing our best to create the best experience we can for all of you. ?

Is Jenny Belle still coming?
Jenny was originally planned as one of the characters for PocketSweeties 2. However, recent events in the NSFW game space made us take a step back and re-evaluate that plan. Another project in the scene, Lovely Craft, recently received a DMCA notice, which sadly led to their game being cancelled. You can read their post about it here.

Seeing that happen, made us more cautious about how we move forward. Because we’re already shifting toward fully original characters to protect the long-term future of the game, we’ve decided not to move forward with adding Jenny at this time. This wasn’t an easy decision, but it’s one we feel is necessary to keep PocketSweeties safe, sustainable, and alive long-term.

What other girls can we expect?
Angel Nya is just the start. She’s our first original character and the foundation for more OCs we plan to add in the future. Some of the girls we already have in the works include Lily The Slime (our mascot) and a shortstack goblin called Lulu Gobbo. We have an internal list of potential other characters we want to introduce, but we don’t want to reveal everything just yet. Currently we have 8 girls planned including a final boss.

Where there any other girls planned before this change?
The only girls that we officially ever planned were Jenny Belle and Lily the slime. No other girls were ever in development or officially planned.

When is the next update?
You can check out our updated roadmap down below to see what we’re currently planning. We do have an internal target for the next update, and we’ll share more details as soon as we’re confident about a release window.

We put a lot of work into this devlog to show as much as possible, and we know we were a bit quiet about this change on Discord. Now that it’s out in the open, we’ll be aiming to communicate more regularly on Discord and X (Twitter).

This is a big update, so there will most likely be another devlog before the next update goes live. We’re making steady progress and doing our best to move forward at a healthy pace.

How much customization will there be going forward?
A lot more. More fur/skin colors, more outfits, more styles, and more flexibility in general. Our goal is to let players shape characters in many different ways instead of being locked into a single design.

We’d love to see your ideas too! You can suggest body types, species, or character concepts. While we can’t promise every suggestion will be added, your creativity helps inspire our future designs.

Is this a full character replacement or mostly a visual update?
It’s mostly a visual update. Thicc The Bat is getting a new look with Angel Nya, but her personality and existing voice lines stay the same. We’re also adding more lore and hub dialogue so you can get to know her and the other characters even better.

Does this change the gameplay or core systems?
No. The gameplay and core systems you know and love aren’t changing. This update is about expanding what we can build on top of them, and improving on existing things.

Why are you switching to original characters now?
We’re still early in development, which makes this the best time to do it. Original characters give us more creative freedom, help future-proof the project, and make the game more sustainable long-term. Owning our characters and world is especially important for an adult game and also lets us eventually release the game on Steam once it’s fully finished.

Will some of the items evolve as well?
Some outfits and skins are getting a little refresh so we can add new original designs. We are also planning on giving the puzzle mode a revamp to make it fall more in line with our vision of the game. We want to update a couple of songs in the game as well. We have also added a custom song system where players can play their own songs in the game.

Is the spicy/NSFW direction changing?
Not at all. The breeding, collectables and customization you’re here for are staying. This change just gives us more freedom to explore that content in our own original world.

Will this affect Patreon updates or the pace of new content?
If anything, this change will make things more stable. Working with original characters gives us more creative freedom and fewer long-term risks, which helps development run smoother and more consistently.

It also lets us work with a clearer and more relaxed mindset. Game development and art can be mentally demanding, and burnout and impostor syndrome are very real struggles in this space. We’re not immune to that either. Building our own original world helps reduce that pressure and allows us to create in a healthier, more sustainable way.

In the end, this means better consistency, better quality, and a better experience for us and the fans.

Will mod support come to the game?
We are still looking into the possibility of mod support. Currently we are still in the research phase of it. We cannot guarantee that this will be added to the game.

Will there be Lovense support?
We are also looking into this. We still have to purchase a Lovense device to see what is possible for our game.

Where can I suggest girls and ideas?
You can suggest ideas in our Discord server or in the comments. We love seeing your creativity, even if we can’t promise to build every suggestion one-to-one.

Will PocketSweeties 1 still get updates?
No, we have decided to fully focus on PocketSweeties 2. However we are still open to make 2D content. But if we were to make that. Then it would most likely be in PS2 or as a stand alone game.

Will there be a legacy version of PocketSweeties 2
We will most likely have a legacy version of PS2 be available on Discord in the future once this update releases. For the people who wanna experience the old version.

You can check out our roadmap down below. Keep in mind that we may have a few smaller updates in between, and the roadmap itself might be adjusted or tightened as we move closer to later goals.

Kind regards Keebee and AP
