I’m happy to finally share Project Ultimate RealCam with you all.
This preset has been in development for a while, starting as an experiment with camera lens behavior and slowly turning into its own standalone project. Along the way, it became clear that RealCam didn’t really belong as an adjustment to existing presets — it needed its own space and its own identity.
Project Ultimate RealCam is focused on replicating real-world camera behavior in ATS and ETS2:
natural camera movement
subtle lens characteristics
a more authentic in-cab and passenger perspective
It’s intentionally minimal and highly light-dependent. The effect is subtle in screenshots, but once you’re actually driving, the difference becomes much more noticeable — this is where RealCam really comes alive.
The tonemaps and presets are built in a way that lets you quickly adjust saturation and contrast, allowing you to fine-tune the look to your own preference without having to dig through complex settings. This makes tweaking the preset fast and flexible depending on lighting, weather, or personal taste.
I’ll be covering this adjustment process in more detail in the next video, so you can see exactly how to make changes efficiently.
RealCam is available for both ATS and ETS2, and includes carefully tuned settings with dedicated tonemaps to ensure correct tonal response in different lighting conditions.
I’ve also put together a short guide video that walks through the camera setup and basic usage, to help you get up and running quickly.
This release also marks a shift in how I approach camera and visual work going forward — more grounded, more deliberate, and closer to how driving actually feels.
As always, thank you for the continued support.
Feedback is welcome, and more refinements and updates will come with time.
Enjoy the drive ??✨
