Update!
Everything is totally fine and super normal! Very precedented times we live in.
Jokes aside, things aren't greeeaaat. My plan was to take the end of the year and finish my commission queue, maybe even get ahead (what a novel idea), but the smut train went off the rails (and not in the fun "run a train" kind of way).
I had some major medical stuff happen (fun fact, it is possible to puke for 12 hours straight). I'm very fortunate that even though my country's medical system is a clusterfuck of circle jerking billionaire baboons invested in our demise, I live in a metropolitan city with access to some wonderfully dedicated doctors doing their best, and I'm lucky enough to have insurance through my husband.
It's Surprise!Diabetes! I'm thrilled to have a diagnosis. I'm less thrilled that starting treatment was worse than just having undiagnosed diabetes. It took some time to find a medication my body will tolerate, but I'm slowly getting better. (Side note: if you always feel a little hungover and have to pee all the time, maybe have a doctor check your blood sugar). I'm so lucky to have supportive partners (one of which is diabetic) that have kept me sane and fed.
And then my country decided that fascism sounded like a great idea, because the price of egg , I guess? Not great news for a disabled, polyamorous, trans, [anti-Zionist] Jewish, Latina who professionally makes queer smut. Aaand then I fell into a wee pit of despair for a minute. But...
I'm alive! And I'll keep making joyful, horny, queer art till the day I'm not, fascist governments and autoimmune diseases be damned.
I'm back, babbbyyyy! I'll be making a few changes to patreon in order to make it more sustainable. This biggest change is that I'll have two NSFW votes per month: one for Harry Potter, one for any other fandom. I want to give the other fandoms a chance to win. I'll also be doing fan art of my favorite (mostly romance) novels.
The first suggestion boxes of the year go up tomorrow! I cannot thank you enough for sticking around. Patreon makes a full time art career possible, and your support has been literally life saving.
To my US friends and everyone else with a fucked government, remember that art is resistance, sexuality is liberating, and joy is revolutionary. We will survive together.
All my love and boundless horniness,
Ada
