Occulus of the Deciever

Few things can pierce the veil of deception better than a demonic eye. However, woe to anyone foolhardy to keep one for devils make it a mark of pride to collect what is their due.

A good one for Halloween! Demonic seeing eyes, corrupt seeing stones, orbs of detection and deception, these are all strong concepts that I’ve had swimming round for some time. When I was playing ‘Pathfinder: Kingmaker’ one of my favourite items in the game is the demonic seeing stone that you eventually encounter.

The eye’s design is partly inspired by the ‘seabird grapes’ found from the Elden Ring games. I wanted it to look corrupted, and hopefully inspire sinister images of what the eyes original owner might look like.

I also thought to keep in the description vague and open to interpretation, allowing the DM room to create plot twists. Perhaps the owner is someone the players know? Perhaps they are more than just a demon on the prowl?
