私と同世代のアラフォーなら皆読んでたんじゃないかな☺️

初めて読んだのはボンチュー編だったから9歳の頃。

主人公のたけしが年下だと知った時は衝撃だった?

その頃は父が稀に会社から持ち帰るジャンプを読んでただけで

友達の家にたけしの8巻(マミー編カバーの無いボロ)があって、熱中して読んでたら友達が「それあげるよ」とくれた。

それから少しずつ集めるようになって、本格的にはまったのはモービー編

コミックスも発売日に買うようになり、それからジャンプも毎週読み始め

しまぶーが逮捕されて打ち切りになるまでずっと読んでた?

10年くらい前に処分しちゃったけど、去年また読みたい欲が強くなって駿河屋で集めて、終盤はワイド版を購入。

22年越しにバーバリアン編と最終回を読むことができた。

やっぱり今読んでも…面白い！たけしでしか得られない栄養がある。

ギャグとシリアスをここまで両立できてる漫画ってそう無いのではなかろうか。

9つの長編があって、全てテンポ良く数巻で終わるのがいい。

あのモービー編でさえ漫画で3冊分しかない。

しまぶー捕まった時はショックだったけど

トリコで大復活したときはそりゃあ嬉しかった?

またしまぶーの漫画が読みたい?

トリコも処分しちゃったけど、また集めようかな…。

魔黒編のオレンジを見た時しまぶーは冨樫先生のファンなのだと気づいた?

The Legend of the End-of-Century Leader: Takeshi

I reckon everyone my age in their forties read it, didn't they? ☺️

I first read it when I was about nine, during the Bonchu arc.

It was a shock to learn the protagonist Takeshi was younger than me. ?

Back then, I only ever read the Jump my dad occasionally brought home from work.

A friend had volume 8 of Takeshi (a tattered copy without the Mummy arc cover), and I got so engrossed reading it that my friend said, ‘You can have it.’

After that, I gradually started collecting them. I properly got hooked during the Moby arc.

I started buying the comics on release day, then began reading Jump every week too.

I kept reading right up until Shimaboo got arrested and it got cancelled. ?

I got rid of them about ten years ago, but last year the urge to read them again became too strong. I collected them again from Surugaya, buying the wide editions for the later volumes.

After 22 years, I finally got to read the Barbarian arc and the finale.

Even reading it now... it's brilliant! There's a nourishment you can only get from Takeshi.

How many manga can truly balance comedy and seriousness like this?

It's great that there are nine long arcs, each wrapping up neatly in just a few volumes.

Even that Moby Dick arc only took up three volumes in the manga.

I was gutted when Shimaboo got caught,

but when he made that huge comeback in Toriko, I was absolutely chuffed ?

I want to read more of Shimaboo's manga again ?

I got rid of Toriko too, but maybe I should collect it again...

When I saw Orange in the Makuro arc, I realised Shimaboo is a fan of Togashi-sensei ?
