Encode By Golden Pot

A short and sweet adventure game, where Nenena is looking for a sugar daddy, and you happen to be it.

Golden who?
Who are these people? and how the hell did they manage to sell their first project - an NTR RPGMaker game no less, for over 13,000 copies????

Sure, the artwork is nice, but figures tend to depict a deeper conclusion, because these type of projects are a dime a dozen.

Time to dig into this week's title: Encode.
Spoiler: You'd think the game has something to do with virtual space, maybe cyberpunk, but alas... it's probably a Japanese wordplay about sniffing panties or something along the lines.

Our adventure begins with Gyaru -  a student with a very special disease : "Congenital semenetic hypertesticularism", or in English: he can't stop producing the white sauce.

Gyaru finds himself yet again looking for a place to release the troops, until he finds a storeroom for some privacy. Little did he know that it was already occupied by our soon to be love/fap interest Nenena.

After a short and awkward introduction with a brief explanation of his situation, Nenena turns out to be a kinky gold digger that is willing to "help" Gyaru with his condition if he basically sponsors her.
To add fuel to the fire, she has a boyfriend, and her very first request is to receive money from "Otacchi" for her lewd and shrewd services.

?️ This is where the actual gameplay begins:
Nenena isn't romantically interested in you, nor does she ever plan to.
However, without enough "convincement" she'll be willing to overlook your perverted actions, and eventually move more than a few bases forward.

But as we already know, her heart is after your wallet, so you must decide how to spend each day with your available actions points: Work, Wank, or Woo.
All while keeping in mind the ultimate goal of hitting it as far as possible with Nenena.

The developer insists that whatever your choice will be, "All roads lead to Rome", so you don't need to worry about reloading save files or whatever.
You're given two weeks in the game's universe, where your choices will eventually lead into one of 3 endings, tied to your total spending.

The game is designed to complete multiple times to reach all the endings.
Each new playthrough stores your stats, so you can be even more productive (no pun intended) at the jobs you choose to earn the most out of them per interaction.

? As you keep sexually interacting with Nenena, more options will become available, and in turn more H scenes, or CG if you may. There are over 700 different scenes variations, based on locations and your relationship status with the girl.

The artstyle is truly beautiful and unique in its own right.
If you ask me, then it is definitely the most appealing part that lead to the game's big success.
The second part of that success is the lack of a GOOD NTR game in the scene.

You know how I like to go on about how people are craving for a good pixel game, being so rare that we barely get any good ones?
The very same can be said about NTR - it's a type of genre that in many cases you'll see conflicting opinions about.

Getting fully invested in a story where you know that you'll never get the girl is indeed somewhat unappealing to some, but at the same time it does create a good tension of "Ok, there won't be romance, but what if...".
And that, if not done in lazily, can lead to very interesting projects such as Encode.

For the short amount of time required to finish each playthrough, to the kinky and funny dialogues, and of course the great artwork that carries each scene on its shoulders... I could totally see how this small project gained such popularity.

Encode is a short and fun experience that doesn't demand a lot from you.
RPGMaker games are indeed a dime a dozen, but it is safe to safe that rather than a dime, we've got a diamond.
