The Back Log, vol. 71 - The Mario Is To Be Looked At

Just don't think too hard about what it could be...

Our Next Slop Model segment has so far thrown up some absolute doozies in its two appearances, but Pete's recreation of Mario, the famous Italian plumber, we all know and love, might just be the finest of them all. And its splendour was wonderfully captured by yet another piece of delightful Jazzals art over in the #creative channel of the Discord!

Now, this was originally supposed to come out on Monday, but in the end I'm actually glad I had to push it to midweek. Because we've actually got a few extra things from the past couple of days that you'll see below, that you would not have otherwise! Which means that it's time to stop dilly dallying and instead, get to shilly shallying.

Our most visually stimulating episode yet aired last Thursday, and it all started with a watch-along of Hideo Kojima's latest insane creation, the 10-minute trailer for Death Stranding 2. We thought it was essential to have the best curator we know, none other than our friend Chloe Appleby, join us for such an adventure. But that wasn't all we subjected her to. As mentioned above, the return of Back Pocket's Next Slop Model was imminent, and you truly never can be fully ready for what that segment will deliver, particularly when it comes to the wonderful mind of Peter Burns. Then, to make up for putting her through that ordeal, the boys let her and Ruby go wild on a tier list of all the outfits in Infinity Nikki. And, of course, it ain't Back Pocket without What We've Been Playing, this time covering some of the biggest new titles from the past month, including Wanderstop, Monster Hunter Wilds, Fragpunk and Two Point Museum.

Well, you've already got a link to our Game Night from earlier this week - that was Gus playing the brand new Midnight Murder Club with a bunch of our Pocketeers! Plus, there's an Assassin's Creed Shadows recording for you Gold Pocket patrons to feast your eyes on - the full edited Playback of that will be out for everyone next week.

But for tomorrow night, it's been a while since we've had the wonderful Nicrotex on the show, so he'll be joining us and perhaps even helping us debut another new segment?!
