Baba-Set Designs

Hey gang,

I'm updating the Baba-Set design a bit for my new Aphrodite comic and I wanted to attach some sketches to get your thoughts.

As you can see, I'm embracing a pot-bellied and more ape-like posture for Baba. I've also been inspired by the appearance of the baboons in Gladator 2 to give him a more hairless look. I picture leathery brown skin over tautly muscled arms. I also like the bald look to differentiate him from Mandrill's spikier hair. I'm also considering playing with the braided goatee look, which echoes the false beard of an Egyptian sarcophagus. But I don't want to make his face look too busy.

Which of these do you prefer? Do you feel like anything is missing? What would you add or subtract from his look?
