Halfway Broken - Chapters 67-69
Whew! Okay! Sorry about this being a couple of days later than usual, folks. I've had some delays caused by a couple of medical issues I don't care to get into (One of them was a root canal, the other unresolved currently, which is why I don't want to get into it. Too complicated.) To be fair, I did give you guys, gals, and others an extra in the form of another entry of Why Was There No Truck?!. So I don't feel too awful about this being a touch later than normal ;-).
It's also, sadly, only 14,000 words instead of the usual 15,000. But that was actually more of a case of content rather than time. I could have included a few more downtime perspectives on Asuka, I suppose. But there's already a training montage that touches on virtually everyone at least one, plus a pretty long lemon that pushes the relationship elements along as far as I want to in a single go. I also kinda don't want to show what's going on elsewhere, at the moment, as it would be determinantal to the upcoming hopefully-very-epic bits.
Which is why I stopped where I did. If I went any farther, I'd be into the period where things are going to start happening very fast for a little while. So where I actually did stop was simply the logical place to do so without making a cliffhanger (which I try not to do). So slightly smaller than normal. Sorry! Anyway, I think the chapters do a solid job of buttoning things up before events start becoming a runaway set of several different trains, all on Collison courses. Hopefully, they are enjoyable :-).
As always, the new bits of story are attached here in various formats, and I'll be updating the Master Files in the Pinned Post shortly. I'll also be posting some author's notes in the comments once I've, you know, actually written them. Enjoy more of Halfway Broken!
As Usual, the art for this post isn't mine! I went looking for a hot springs imagne of Nami that wasn't outright pornographic and found it ;-). It belongs to Chemical Bro, if you want to see more like it. Honestly, despite not being my preferred style, their stuff is pretty solid!
