Confused Pokémon Adventure 23-26

An update for this story is here at last! In which we finally get to see 2B's Gym debut, lewd handholding, and more! This update pushes through the end of their time in Pewter, then they are off to Mt. Moon, where it ends...on the closest thing to a cliffhanger I think I've ever written ;-). Don't worry, it's not that dramatic. It ends where it does, despite that being about 500 words short of the 15k goal, because I didn't want it to be too much of a cliff hangar, given it could be a bit before this story wins again.

Of course, the other, more exciting reason that I ended it where I did is that there are upcoming possible pokémon captures for both Zoey and 2B. Just as I've done with 2B's previous captures (and her 'starter'), I'm intending to provide a number of possible options for pokémon they might add to their rosters next as a poll. Obviously, I need to know the results of those polls (which I'll put up later today) before I can go to much farther with the story :-p.

Art! As usual, the art isn't mine. I hunted quite a long way to find a 2B in something that I thought was fitting for...part of this chapter. Said art is by Veliartifical. The remaining two images are AI generations by me, finally giving us a depiction of Zoey for this fanfic. Her original anime art is wholly unsuitable due to me aging up the pokémon journey typical starting ages to something sane.

Zoey is 18, since Journey's in this version start no earlier than 15-16 and she's in her 3rd year. 2B is physically the equivalent of 16-17ish. Her age is...complicated, to say the least, by her original status as an android. She was originally converted on arrival to a body between the ages of 15-16, and has been there a few months over a year. For practical reasons of finding art that fits and her being more firmly in Zoey's strike zone, I'd say she looks around 17. Mentally and emotionally, of course, she's all over the place due to her past.

As usual, the new chapters are attached here in various formats, and the new Master Files, containing the entire story, will be up in the Pinned Post shortly. I'll also be doing some Author's Notes for the chapters after I get that done. You'll be able to find them in the comments, also as usual, though give it a bit so I can actually write them :-p.
