Davo - Reference Sheet 2025

He’s there for the music. 

He’s the drummer of the WornDown Children 

He wants to be one way, was born another way and lives in between.

He can play drums, piano and a bit of guitar. 

His father died when he was 2, his mother died when he was 15 and he lived with his stepfather until he had enough. They never got along and her mother being gone just made things worse.

He joined a band when he was 15. They were living too fast too quickly and ended up poorly but he got lucky.

Before that his friend Tony had joined another band and had invited him. He had said no but after things went south with his own band he decided to do the audition, only to discover that same day that he already knew the other member since kids. Zara Diana and Liliana, no Lil.

He’s currently dating a teacher called Tina who rivals his music knowledge and who he met at a music store/school.

And that's Davo for you. At least for now.

Continuing with this new reference sheet project, I'm continuing with Davo. Probably always the hardest one because he comes with his drum set. 

He’s probably the member of the WDC with the most eventful past that I'll get to in the comic eventually. Some of it, to be fair I did cover already but someday I may get into the details. Like with his complicated family story for example.

This and Zara’s so far have the least changes to the design with respect to the original one. Not because I'll redesign characters here but because some I've learned to draw differently. The one thing I did change here is his more rabbit accurate snout in the front/back views that he technically has always had, I just like to draw him in a more cartoony fashion and I'll keep on doing it of course.
