This picture’s original version is in Spanish because it's inspired by several stories I've heard from medics and medicine students, not always directly, of apparitions they have witnessed in hospitals. Stuff moving around or kids and patients asking for water or different things when there's not supposed to be anyone there. 

But on a couple of these stories I've heard, what struck me was the casualty on which some of these were told. Not so much a somber and impossible story of something that could never happen, but maybe more of an “Of course!, We've seen thousands of stuff, and here is just one more example of a thing I can't explain” 

Like, and this one specifically inspired this piece, the story of a girl patient asking a nurse for a glass of water. The nurse gave it to her only for later being told by the other doctors and nurses that there's no child patients staying in that hallway. Not only that but the nurse never saw that girl again.

Hospitals are the place where people go to die. So the casualty of these tales is not surprising if you consider that. I had some fun imagining taking these events and making protocols for them. Even putting signs.

And there's Nicole visiting the hospital for either a follow up of an exorcism she performed earlier, or maybe to visit Ignacio who got hurt (Not severely) after that time he got thrown from a window while performing an exorcism (remember that?) or maybe both!

She's of course not surprised at the presence of a ghost in front of her, but she's a little bit confused with the “Do not feed the ghost” sign. She's not sure what to do now, she doesn't want to be mean to a little child, but she also doesn't want to break the rules, that sign must be there for a reason. 

Nicole does feel another few presences and it could be a trap, but she doesn't feel any danger. If there was danger she’d probably have heard of these hospitals before. Honestly, the sign may have very well been put in place by a janitor tired of cleaning the food that went through the ghosts bodies and fell to the floor like with Gasper’s uncles. 

I'm just amused by the idea of finding a sign like that in an already scary place.

I don't know if this is the same hospital Lina works at but even if it was I don't think she and Nicole bumped into each other, had they done it they'd both started having nosebleeds and speaking in Aramaic and we’d have another mystery on our hands. Just kidding of course but I'm referring to the fact that they're both based on an old character of mine.
