DnDungeon Lords: Suggestions Box & Other Input
This is the (what appears to be bi-monthly) map & other ideas collection post!
Map ideas
What do you want to see drawn? Ideas for maps submitted before the 24th will be put into a map poll run next week for May onwards! I will try to fit outside-genre suggestions to an Asian fantasy theme if possible since that's what DnDungeon focuses on.
Other suggestions & feedback on other parts of the project are also very welcome!
Possible change: Themed months & asset releases
I'm thinking of overhauling the way I publish the DnDungeon Overhaul.
I'd like to offer the 300ppi original files as digital downloads for personal usage in other programs (i.e. CSP) amongst other things.
This necessitates a better way to organize asset releases. One big "everything" pack is not ideal generally even if given Dungeondraft's limitations it's the best format for Dungeondraft. (I'll have to build out website infrastructure to support the pack releases too.)
I feel the best way to do asset releases would be to do thematic releases, clustering many conceptually related assets together to allow for more useful packages, in a way not dissimilar from what I did while running Miscellanea Maps years ago. This would likely have related benefits in improving my efficiency. This would look something like doing a month dedicated to winter, or to magitek architecture, or to tropical islands.
I am also considering redoing the internal organization of the pack. It has been remarked to me that Dungeondraft's default tags are Not Good for organization, which is something I have come to agree with. Currently, my assets are located inside default tags, which can make it hard to locate them. I was considering moving the entire pack to a custom asset tagging system to make it easier & more obvious to know where each set of parts is located.
While I'm thinking this over, I wanted to ask for input from my users & to hear if anyone else has thoughts or concerns that I should account for.
