Lovely gold-plated roofs accentuate a stone courtyard in the traditional style, a palace for the grandest of your Asia-inspired emperors — currently living or already dead!

Thoughts

• A fight might progress up the city streets, through the gate & into the courtyard, and into building gates on either side.

• You might only need the lower area, which resembles a city; or perhaps the courtyard, if you want to isolate a fight in a single area. The map can cleanly split in two if required.

• Phantasmagoric Youkai Palace: A black-roofed palace lined with brilliant red maples & tinted with the subtle colors of autumn, for more explicitly Japanese settings.

• Canal Variants: A river flows through the palace walls, acting as a barrier to make the terrain more dangerous.

• Empty Canals: Variants of the canals with no water.

• Astral Ruins: A shattered Emperor’s palace adrift in deep space or the Astral Plane.

• Astral Portal: A fiery vortex portal in deep space!

• Day/Night/Rain Variants: Wherever applicable!
