Sisterhood (2023)

Dnes je to přesně rok od premiéry našeho filmu Sisterhood...

Byl to největší projekt, do jakého jsme se kdy pustili. Někdy na začátku roku 2023 jsme se rozhodli, že bychom rádi vytvořili kalendář. A já přišel se základní příběhovou myšlenkou na skupinu žen, které už to nemohly vydržet ve městě a tak vyjely na pár dnů do hor. A tam těch pár dnů ochutnají skutečnou svobodu. A co se tam stane, to tam zůstane.

Tenhle námět by se dal uchopit všelijak :D :D :D Ale u nás to funguje tak, že jeden nastřelí a druhý pak s tím nápadem pracuje a rozvine ho, často někam úplně jinam. A vždycky je to pak o dost lepší. V tomhle případě Ráďa můj námět rozvinula do hluboce osobního příběhu o hledání sebe sama, vyprávěném prostřednictvím šestice žen.

Původně to měl být kalendář, ale bylo nám jasné, že fotek vznikne víc a pokud to chceme nějak "odvyprávět", budeme potřebovat větší formát. Takže kalendář a kniha. To jsme si mysleli ještě na konci června. "Hele, ale musíme k tomu natočit i nějaké video, abychom to pak mohli promovat," říkáme si, když balíme věci.

A pak se to celé začalo dít. Holky byly neskutečné, ponořily se do svých rolí, naše milovaná jesenická příroda, úžasné lokace a počasí totálně na naší straně! Takže vlastně už od prvního focení se i plnohodnotně točilo. Týden jsme prožívali Sisterhood, žili jsme tím, vznikaly neuvěřitelné situace a všechno propojovala úžasná energie, vzájemnost, sdílení... Myslím, že se něco takového už nikdy nemůže podařit znovu. (A taky proč to zkoušet, vždyť jedinečné věci mají zůstat jedinečnými.)

Přivezli jsme nesmírné množství materiálu. Fotek i záběrů. Nachystali jsme kalendář a knihu, Ráďa do ní napsala velice krásné a osobní texty, které to propojily. A nám došlo, že to je vlastně scénář. A že z těch záběrů sestříháme celý film, který propojíme těmi texty. Takže jsme se znovu sbalili a odjeli do Jeseníků, kde jsme začali pracovat na hudbě a střihu. Tyhle dvě složky vznikaly zároveň, v jakési symbióze. Ráďa dole stříhala a já nahoře nahrával. A když jsme se pak potkali a pustili to dohromady, často se stalo, že se ani nemuselo nic upravovat, že to prostě na vteřinu sedělo. Jo, takový věci se občas dějou, ale recept na to nemáme. Asi to chce prostě hlubokej ponor a vypnout telefony.

A tak vznikl Sisterhood: kalendář, kterej ještě měsíc a pár dnů můžete mít na stěně (a nebo si ho tam nechat klidně dalších pár let), kniha a film. Akty v divoký jesenický přírodě. Akty na papíře, akty na plátně. Akty zařezaný hluboko do duše.

No a přesně před rokem byla premiéra... Tak si říkáme, že si ten film, kterej jsme promítli i na pár festivalech, vyšel dokonce na DVD a taky byl u nás v e-shopu, zasloužíte mít tady, v našem Muselandu. Mimochodem, uvidíte v něm dvě naše Muses Žanetu a Gabrielu a taky další víly, který už znáte. Třeba Věru nebo Sáru. Tak si to užijte! My dnes hodně nostalgicky vzpomínáme a zároveň kroutíme hlavou, protože fakt nechápeme, jak se to celé stalo.

Today marks exactly one year since the premiere of our film Sisterhood...

It was the biggest project we’ve ever taken on. Sometime at the beginning of 2023, we decided we wanted to create a calendar. And I came up with a basic story idea: a group of women who couldn’t stand city life anymore and decided to escape to the mountains for a few days. There, they experienced true freedom, even if just for a little while. And what happened there? Well, it stayed there.

This concept could have gone in all sorts of directions :D :D :D But in our process, one of us throws out an idea, and the other takes it, develops it, and often takes it somewhere completely different. And it’s always so much better in the end. In this case, Ráďa took my idea and turned it into a deeply personal story about self-discovery, told through six women.

Originally, it was supposed to be just a calendar, but we quickly realized there would be far more photos, and if we wanted to truly "tell the story," we’d need a bigger format. So, a calendar and a book. That’s what we thought as late as the end of June. “Hey, we also need to shoot some video for promotion,” we said as we packed our things.

And then it all started happening. The girls were incredible, fully immersing themselves in their roles. Our beloved Jeseníky landscape, stunning locations, and weather completely on our side! So, from the very first shoot, we were also filming a full-fledged video. For a week, we lived and breathed Sisterhood. It was an extraordinary experience—amazing energy, mutual understanding, sharing... I honestly think something like this could never happen again. (And why try? Unique things are meant to stay unique.)

We brought back an enormous amount of material—photos and footage. We prepared the calendar and the book, with Ráďa writing beautiful, personal texts that tied everything together. And then we realized we essentially had a script. And that we could edit a full film out of the footage, incorporating those texts. So, we packed up again and headed back to Jeseníky, where we started working on the music and editing. These two components came to life simultaneously, in a sort of symbiosis. Ráďa was downstairs editing while I was upstairs recording. And when we came together and played it back, it often fit perfectly, down to the second, without any adjustments. Yeah, things like that happen sometimes, but we have no recipe for it. It probably just requires total immersion and turning off your phone.

And that’s how Sisterhood came to be: a calendar you can still keep on your wall for another month (or even for a few more years, if you want), a book, and a film. Nudes in the wild Jeseníky nature. Nudes on paper, nudes on screen. Nudes etched deep into the soul.

And exactly one year ago, the premiere happened... So, we thought, why not share the film here in our Museland? After all, it was screened at a few festivals, released on DVD, and even sold in our e-shop. By the way, you’ll see two of our Muses, Žaneta and Gabriela, and other fairies you already know—like Věra and Sára. Enjoy it! Today, we’re feeling deeply nostalgic while shaking our heads in disbelief, still wondering how it all even happened.
